Director & Attorney
After building her career at leading Johannesburg law firms, including Hogan Lovells, Palesa Nhlapo gained extensive experience handling complex legal matters, working with diverse clients, and developing a deep understanding of the legal challenges faced by individuals, communities and businesses across South Africa. Drawing on this experience, she recognized the need for a law firm that combines the high standards of large legal practices with the personalized attention and accessibility that clients deserve.
Today, with over 10 years of legal experience, Palesa Nhlapo leads a dedicated practice committed to professionalism, integrity, and excellence. Her passion for the law is driven by a genuine desire to help clients navigate legal challenges with confidence and achieve practical, effective outcomes.
For larger mandates and litigious matters we brief counsel and work alongside correspondent attorneys and specialist consultants, so that the depth of the team matches the scale of the matter.

How we work
A predictable process from first call to final invoice.
We listen to the facts, identify the legal issues, and tell you honestly what your options are and what does and does not need attention.
You receive a costs estimate and a mandate letter setting out the scope of work before we begin, as the Legal Practice Act requires.
We advise, draft, negotiate, mediate or litigate — and keep you informed in writing at each material stage.
Your matter closes with a clear outcome report, an itemised account, and documents handed over in a form your team can maintain.
FAQ
If your question is not answered here, send it through — we are happy to explain.
Ask us directlyYes, and it is some of the most cost-effective work we do. We flag what is genuinely unacceptable, what is negotiable, and what is market standard — with suggested wording — so that you can negotiate from a position of knowledge rather than reject the whole document.
On defined pieces of work — a contract review, a letter of demand, a straightforward estate or agreement — we may quote a fixed fee. Open-ended advisory work is billed at an agreed hourly rate against an estimate, and we tell you before the estimate is exceeded. You receive a mandate letter setting this out before we start.
We would rather refer you well than dabble. Where a matter falls outside our focus — or requires appearance in a division where a correspondent is needed — we will say so and point you to a practitioner who does that work properly.
Everything you tell us is protected by legal professional privilege, and we process personal information in accordance with POPIA. Our privacy notice sets out what we collect and why.
